Thirty
five years ago, top New York Illustrator, Walter Skor, created
a unique frame style for his friend, painter
John Clymer. When the exhibit opened at Grand Central gallery
in New York, the most often heard comment was "great paintings
John, where did you get those frames". The Skor Frame Company emerged from that exhibit.
Since that time, most major artists have used Skor frames, and
still do today! As so happens with a great product, imitations
spring up. Many companies have tried to copy Skor Frames. A Skor
Frame, side by side with a copy, looks similar when viewed from
a distance, but the closer you get, the more you realize...
